Coach Hannah Sharp to Teach at 2024 Women’s No Gi Summit alongside Elisabeth Clay, Brianna Ste-Marie, Alex Enriquez, and Amanda Loewen
Oregon Grappling Arts is excited to announce that head coach Hannah Sharp will be an instructor at the 2024 Women’s No Gi Summit hosted at 10th Planet Portland in Portland, OR from March 1-3. Hannah will be teaching alongside women’s jiu jitsu standouts Elisabeth Clay, Brianna Ste-Marie, Alex Enriquez, and Amanda Loewen. The Women’s No Gi Summit is an excellent opportunity for women grapplers to learn technique from some of the most accomplished female no gi competitors in the world. In addition, the weekend-long event provides open mats and social activities where participants can train and network with fellow jiu jitsu enthusiasts, a large number of whom will be members of the PNW women’s jiu jitsu community.
The instructors who will be teaching alongside Hannah at this event are
Elisabeth Clay - Elisabeth Clay is a black belt under Osvaldo Moizinho and Samir Chantre and competes representing the Ares BJJ team. She is one of the most dominant female competitors in the world across multiple weight classes. In 2023, she won the Polaris 23 Women’s Grand Prix, defeating both the 2022 ADCC -60 kg and +60 kg world champions in the same night. Competing as a black belt, she is also a two-time IBJJF No Gi World Champion, winning both her weight class and the absolute in 2022, two-time No Gi Pan Champion, gi Pan Champion, and gi and no gi American National Champion. She is also an ADCC North American West Coast Trials Champion and bronze medalist and champion of many IBJJF majors tournaments at the colored belts. Elisabeth is known for her dangerous and flexible guard and devastating leg submissions, particularly her toehold.
Brianna Ste-Marie - Brianna Ste-Marie is a black belt under Fabio Holanda and Leonardo Saggorio who often competes representing Brazilian Top Team. She teaches BJJ classes at Mizu Studio in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. As a black belt, Brianna won IBJJF No Gi Worlds, the Flograppling Who’s Number One Women’s 135-lb. Championship, ADCC West Coast Trials, earned a silver medal at the 2022 ADCC World Championship, and placed third at IBJJF Gi Worlds. As a colored belt, she won many IBJJF majors titles in both gi and no gi. Brianna is also an EBI Combat Jiu Jitsu World Champion at 125 lbs., and a Medusa Combat Jiu Jitsu World Champion at 135 lbs. Brianna’s jiu jitsu style is characterized by heavy, suffocating pressure passing; many effective upper body submission finishes including arm bars, kimuras, variations of front headlock chokes, arm triangles, and triangles; and some of the most effective half guard, octopus guard, and closed guard games in modern competitive Brazilian jiu jitsu.
Alex Enriquez - Alex Enriquez is a black belt under Bruno Frazatto and competes representing Atos Atlanta. Prior to competing heavily in Brazilian jiu jitsu, Alex was a wrestler, winning three Georgia State Championships and placing fourth at the prestigious Fargo tournament as a cadet. As a black belt, Alex placed first at the 2023 IBJJF No Gi World Championship. She is also an ADCC East Coast Trials Champion, IBJJF brown belt No Gi World and No Gi Pan Champion, and has won several professional grappling tournaments including Finisher’s Sub Only 18, and the Sapateiro 125-lb. Women’s Championship. Alex is known for her wrestling skills, oppressive passing game, and back attacks.
Amanda Loewen - Amanda Loewen is a black belt who competes representing 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu. She is a Submission Underground Women’s Absolute Champion, 2017 IBJJF No Gi World Championship black belt open class bronze medalist, and 2014 IBJJF brown belt Gi World Championship silver medalist. Amanda is known for her closed guard and use of a position she calls “dog guard.”
